== Mixed Martial Arts Career ==
Pokrajac started his professional MMA career in 2003, primarily competing in his native Croatia. He has been a training partner of Mirko Filipovic for many years.

In August 2009, it was announced he would be debuting for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at UFC 103 Franklin vs Belfort. He faced the former IFL Light Heavyweight Champion Vladimir Matyushenko, losing a unanimous decision. His second fight with the UFC was against James Te Huna on February 20, 2010 at UFC 110 Nogueira vs Velasquez. In the evening’s first fight, Australian James Te Huna entered to a raucous welcome in front of an arena filled with his countrymen. While the obvious underdog in the live crowd’s eyes, Pokrajac proved a game opponent. Through a back-and-forth set of opening rounds, the pair fought both on their feet and the mat, though that was generally after a powerful Te Huna slam. Such was the case in the final frame, and the Australian took advantage of top position. Attacking as Pokrajac tries to scramble away, a flurry of punches found their mark, and the debuting Te Huna earned a TKO win with 1:34 remaining in the bout, handing Pokrajac his second consecutive loss in the UFC.

Pokrajac next faced James Irvin, who was coming back from a failed attempt at competing at Middleweight, at UFC Live 2 Jones vs Matyushenko. After a brief ground skirmish, Pokrajac unloaded more than a dozen straight punches that left his opponent dazed and wobbly. Irvin tried to return fire, but Pokrajac dragged him to the mat, took his back, flattened him out and secured a fight-ending Rear Naked Choke at the 2:29 mark of the opening round, saving his UFC career.
