== Mixed Martial Arts Career ==
=== The Ultimate Fighter ===
Eliot Marshall was a light heavyweight contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 8 reality TV show on SpikeTV.

Eliot lost his preliminary match to [[Karen Grigoryan (Light Heavyweight) | Karen Grigoryan]] by a split decision. Before Eliot left it was announced that a few fighters would be unable to continue onto the show, and Karen was one of them. A replacement was needed, and Eliot was given a second chance.

He had his second fight while in the house against Shane Primm, defeating Primm with a Rear Naked Choke early in the first round. After the match, Eliot called out future opponent and TUF winner Ryan Bader. Eliot got his match against Bader, but Eliot lost the fight by unanimous decision.

=== UFC Career ===
Eliot was given a chance to fight on The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale against former cast mate Jules Bruchez. He defeated Bruchez with a Rear Naked Choke in the first round.

He then took on Vinicius Magalhaes at UFC 97 Redemption for his second fight in the UFC, winning by Decision (Unanimous).

Marshall’s next fight was against Jason Brilz at UFC 103 Franklin vs Belfort, on September 19, 2009, where he won once again by Decision (Unanimous).

Then on a three-fight win streak, Marshall was scheduled to face off against the former IFL Light Heavyweight Champion Vladimir Matyushenko on March 21, 2010 at UFC on Versus 1 Vera vs Jones. He lost the lackluster fight by Decision (Split) and was subsequently released from the UFC. It was an interesting move as he had won his three previous fights with the promotion.

: “I beat Brilz, and he gets a little easier of a fight, and I get a little bit harder fight,” Marshall said. “And now, I’m the one that’s not there anymore, even though I fought a top-15 guy. I guess I should have lost the Brilz fight and fought Eric Schafer,” Marshall continued, referring to the fight Brilz had on the same event.

=== Post-UFC Career ==
Marshall’s first fight since being released by the promotion took place at a Ring of Fire event against Josh Haynes. He went on to win the fight by way of Decision (Unanimous).
