UFC 175: Weidman vs Machida Full Fight Results: Rumor is Vitor Belfort is next in line to face Chris Weidman for the middleweight championship. Both men thumped on each other for the entire twenty five minutes until the final bell would sound. I was really impressed with how well Weidman absorbed his opponent’s power strikes and kept moving forward. Lyoto wasn’t just hitting Weidman in the last couple rounds, he was trying his hardest to knock him out with one single shot. And he almost did, but Weidman was quick to recover and Machida’s attacks were getting more and more delayed.

Ronda Rousey absolutely embarrassed Alexis Davis this past weekend in Las Vegas. All it took was some hard right hands and a hip toss followed by a series or ground strikes from side mount and Davis was done for. Next opponent for Rousey should be Cat Zinganho, that’s if her knees are in place and she’s ready to rumble.

Uriah Hall beat Thiago Santos with a broken toe. The fight was a closely contested one, however it was the Ultimate Fighter vet who would turn things up when needed in order to come out with the unanimous decision. The messed up part is that Hall would have probably put the Brazilian away if he hadn’t hurt his foot in the first round. A fight with Caio Magalhaes would be a step in the right direction for Hall.

Russel Doane looked good against Marcus Brimage in the early going of the PPV opener. But Brimage would fight his way free from back mount and eventually began setting in some nice leg kicks. The fight ended via split decision for the UFC newcomer, but both men showed they have very bright futures in the bantamweight class. Doane can face Rob Font next. Font took an easy win over George Roop in his UFC debut on the prelim card. Why not?
