It’s recently come to light that a woman named Fallon Fox was formerly a man and underwent gender reassigment surgery. Fox has been competing in MMA as a woman, and has a record of 3-0 as an amateur and 2-0 as a pro. The question is, should she continue to fight as a woman — I would say no, because although surgeries and drugs can change certain physical attributes, I’m not sure the more visceral, genetic traits — like bigger, more dense bones, broader shoulders, thinner waist and bigger jaw, can be diminished and are an unfair advantage when fighting congenital women.
