Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva continues to receive doctor’s approval for his return to the Octagon.
Silva was cleared by Dr. Marcio Tannure to spar for the first time since suffering a gruesome broken leg in December against Chris Weidman.
“Then guys good news today and my first after sparring MMA leg fracture,” Silva posted on Twitter.
Tannure works with the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission. Silva has continued to keep fans in the know as he returns from surgery.
While nothing has been made official for his exact return to action, “The Spider” has targeted early 2015 and a possible match up with Nick Diaz.
