Jason High was cut from the UFC by Dana White for his involvement with an official after a recent loss to Rafael dos Anjos.

Following the fight being stopped, High pushed the referee. A few days later, it was revealed he had been cut from the promotion.

On the heels of Chael Sonnen’s retirement announcement, High sounded off on both matters via Twitter.

“Push steroids, not referees,” he wrote, along with the hashtag NOTED.

High, who had won two straight before moving down to lightweight and facing dos Anjos, later added, “IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! Oh well…”

So far, Bellator officials have stated no interest in signing High, while the World Series of Fighting said they would look into it.

This isn’t the first time the UFC has acted quickly following a post-fight incident, as they released Paul Daley for his actions against Josh Koscheck after the bell sounded. Daley has yet to be brought back despite putting together an impressive record.
