No love for this event? I found it pretty good.
Silva vs Egger, what a weird finish. Tap, no tap? We'll never know.. The video didn't give more explanation and I wonder why a judge or Herb could have a say in it. The armbar did look tight ,yes and I applaud people who let go early to not damage their opponent. But it was weird in this case.
McKenna did well with the von flue choke, she did OSP proud. Still not sold but will keep an eye on her. Bryan Battle looked weird at WW but I have to give him credit, that was a nicely set up HK KO, well done! Sam Alvey... why did I even think he could redeem himself and win? He got destroyed as many expected and there should be no way for him to still be in the UFC except as a punching bag at this point.
Main: McKinney did really well as expected. He is still a long wayyyy to the top but I'll be waiting for his next fight. Spivak did what I thought he'd do, win decisively. But, his striking was above expectations and I'm curious how far he'll go now in the rankings at HW.
TUF: Walker was truly horrible and deserved to loose and never fight in MMA again. Juliana did well but I still don't see her go very far at all. Time will tell. Usman's brother looked horrendous. All he had were wild hooks and he was getting countered all day. Yes, he got the KO win but that's only because his opponent sucked hard. Only thing I keep from this TUF is how big Kamaru looks

almost as big as his 230lbs brother..
Co-main.... Holy crap. Luque started aggressive as expected but got countered all day. Neal had an answer for everything and I thought he'd KO him in the 1st round. 2nd round, Neal changed completely and let Luque take over, it was so weird. In between the last rounds, Neal's coach had none of that shit and told him to fucking finish it. Boom! Neal got back to being the aggressor and destroyed Luque. It was refreshing to see a coach keep it completely real! Sad for Luque though and I see his career declining badly now.
Main, it was a pretty good fight! Started a bit slow as I expected but at the end of the day, both guys delivered. Hill overextended and got countered many times but he can clearly take a punch. Santos did well in the 3rd round with his wrestling but abandoned that in the 4th surprisingly (tired?) and it was a true war! Both guys gave it their all and Hill ended up on top. Not a late stoppage in my opinion.
What I want to see next: Neal vs Rakhmonov and Hill vs Ankalaev.
Hope you enjoyed the event
