You went from;

I’m for taking care of society as a whole and less about my own personal interests.

I don’t care about paying more taxes if it is a collective effort to help our economy recover for EVERYONE.

to

It didn’t make a big difference for me financially but...I took $6,000 of CERB.

and then...ready for this...after saying you didn't need it...you highlight people in DIRE situations,your country men, who actually do need it
people become homeless, default on mortgages, kill themselves, the list goes on.
. I mean really? You wrote it and you don't even see the hypocrisy!

...and then you try to justify your taking of the CERB funds by inciting the obligation to pay taxes on it after you said you are all for paying higher taxes, Because its good for the economy; what happen to taking care of society as a whole...collective effort to help... the people who are so hard up they are going to kill themselves, lose their houses, and the list goes on. Don't you think they could have you the money more than you;
didn’t make a big difference for me financially

I'm not against CERB, Im against a hypocrites. You sir are the literal definition of a hypocrite.

Hypocrisy-noun

Dude you’re reaching hard here. So with your logic only the people that “need” the $1,200 stimulus cheque in the USA should get it? What’s your definition of need? I took the $6,000 CERB money because I didn’t know when or if I’d ever be able to reopen my business. It was paid in $2,000 payments every 4 weeks if you were unable to work due to covid. My business was closed for about 12 weeks. Did I know it would be? Had no clue. Hindsight, my business is back and doing well so I didn’t need it as much as I thought I did at the time. The lockdown cost my business probably $20,000 though but I’m not complaining as others have it way worse than me. Should I pay it back? Fuck no. That makes no sense.

I’m not seeing your point yet...

No personal attack :lol:

Your arguments have pretty much kept the same approach, of using red herring and ad hominem logical fallacies.

There was no hypocrisy in any of my posts. My original post was discussing US foreign policy in general. It had nothing to do with Qatar.

Again you are trying invalidate my position just based on where I am from and live. I could make the exact same points even if I had nothing to do with Qatar.

Now, if I was critiquing some practice of the American government and at the same time I was defending Qatar for doing a similar or worse practice I would be a hypocrite.

The US is an easy target of criticism because the impacts of its actions are truly global in proportion. The US is able to support tyrannical governments around the world and either directly or through proxies destroy any opposition to those governments.

There are different “real issues” my dear thezo. When I am drawn into political discussions with people here in Qatar, I focus on local and regional issues.

As I mentioned if stoning does exist in some law, it is certainly not practiced. No one has been executed here in decades. The US has a more active capital punishment system than Qatar.

With that said if stoning does exist, it should still be abolished whether or not it is enforced.

As far as the luxuries bars, yes they are full of Muslims, which include locals and expatriates. To enter the distribution center you need a permit which is not permitted to locals. With that said every local that I know that wants to drink still manages to get it.

The fact America picks and chooses which international government to support just based on how that government supports US corporate interest, all the while championing freedom and democracy, is real hypocrisy.

In any case, this dialogue is going pretty much nowhere.

You wrote the words, I don't know what to tell you. I quoted YOUR contradicting statements. My words are obviously resonating with you, otherwise, why wouldn't passionately defend your actions that are contradictory to your words, (you know what paindog say about being defensive).

My issue isn't with CERB, my issue is with you, a hypocrite. I merely pointed out your pseudo altruism. You pretend you are some benevolent philanthropist who cares more about others situations than your own, and its false. Own it tflock, you ain't no daisy. You are all for this ideal society where people take care of people until tflock needs his shit, even though

This is daily life in Qatar.

Article 256 of the penal code states:

“It is punishable by imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years, anyone who commits the following acts:

1. Insulting or challenging the Supreme Being verbally or in writing, or with drawing or gesturing, or any other means.
2. Abusing, distorting, or desecrating the Holy Koran.
3. Offending the Islamic religion or one of its rituals.
4. Insulting any of the divine religions protected by Islamic law.
5. Insolence towards any of the Prophets verbally, or in writing, drawing, gesture, or any other means.

Cool existence paindog and this is just the tip. I wonder what your country would be like in power. :lol: Fuck off with your ABSOLUTE MONARCHY. America will leave and when you beg for her to come back because you didn't invest in your military and reality starts dropping bombs and taking all your shit; I gonna vote No. When is your next election? Like I said, you are incapable of fathoming what I speak of because
constant brainwashing is hard to overcome.

I pity you. Hope you don't go to jail for drawing pictures some dude doesn't like. I am going to vote for more military funds because of you. Nice work changing Hearts and minds, hearts and minds.

You’re still reaching hard here. If you hate us linkers so much why do you only drop by to insult?

Any business owner that was losing income due to covid was entitled to CERB. That was me. I’ve already said that. The only people that are required to pay it back are people that take it without following the guidelines on who is eligible. That doesn’t include me. I pay higher taxes here in Canada that give me these socialist democratic benefits. I still don’t see your point... I still don’t think you understand what the CERB benefit is.

Here’s an explanation of how it works.

https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benef ... ation.html

Dude, why are you wasting your time on this? It’s getting awkward with you calling everyone a hypocrite :lol:

lol, You want me to stop making you look retarded with your own words?
Again, I only used your words. I was going to say maybe pick them more carefully next time, because again, YOU contradict YOURSELF alot.

And, I get you don't understand, its plain as day you don't. You keep harping on CERB, when I'm talking about the combination of words you chose to describe yourself and your contradictory actions.

Also, I apologize for posting on your forum, and here I was thinking that was a forums sole purpose. Huh, my bad tflock. Sorry for pointing out hypocrisy in your forum and giving some perspective where it was clearly needed. Ill try and post only things you agree with or not at all.

ahhh, nevermind, you can go narc like that sellout Bruins who is doing laps over in baby rot river over in another fucking hot mess of a country that should really do something about the dudes putting baby flesh in pills, slavery, mass sterilizations, genocide, etc..

But..But..but..America Chomski,CHOMSKI,!!

Dude, why are you wasting your time on this? It’s getting awkward with you calling everyone a hypocrite

2 reasons;

1. If you were to identify the hypocrisy and/or irony in what you are about type and then....rephrase it so you don't come off as retarded, then I wouldn't have to highlight it so publicly for you.

and the 2nd reason;

Spoiler:
You and couple of your pals are habitual booth farters, and every once in awhile you need to be tripped up as you run away.
your ilk here got away on this one

Not that I fully agree with everything thezo said, TFlock, but you might consider that he sees something you are not. You do realize that countries in the past were literally taxed into slavery I hope. Higher taxes doesn't mean better living. I'm glad Canadians had an outlet to support them. It's just too bad it was a government we knowingly can't trust. Time will tell.

He’s wasting a lot of time spinning my words into what he wants them to mean. I never said higher taxes mean a better living. All I’m saying is that I support the CERB because of how it helped people get through tough times and it gives people time to recover. Kind of like a bank loan. You borrow money and you have time to build a business or whatever it may be. You pay it back over time. That’s how I see CERB giving our people time to recover from the pandemic and it’s economic devastation.

Not sure if he’s saying I’m a hypocrite because I took the CERB? Not sure where I ever said that I don’t deserve it personally. Maybe he thinks that because I said stuff along the lines of how I care about society as a whole that I shouldn’t have taken the money because I said I didn’t necessarily need it? That’s a bit hardcore as I would have risked my own demise if I didn’t take CERB. :lol:

Not wasting anymore time in this thread though as it’s poison now with thezo here. Willis, you’re a good dude and we can have constructive arguments but thezo just drops by to insult for some strange reason

Should I pay it back? Fuck no

to just now..

You pay it back over time.

and...

The U.S. and it’s allies will do anything to prevent democracies in the Middle East.
