There was indeed a low blow, keep watching the video & pay close attention to the 1st knee where Ed's shorts get pulled down some it hit's em in the torso then on it's way down hits his cup pushing down o it & it wasn't like he was wearing one of thes massive oversized cup either that stick to far out like some fighters do.

Plus if I remember correctly even after the ref called a stop when he knew damn well he heard em for it he continued to throw a couple more punches.

After rewatching it I agree. No matter what I was yelling for the towel right before Ed got the sub. It was just all guts and heart. Great win.
I'm so fucking high.

Haha you guys are reaching hard with your Ed Herman nut hugging

Since when does a knee smash a guy in the gut and graze the top of a cup afterwards count as a nut shot?

After rewatching it a couple of times I could see how the ref made that call is all I'm saying. In real time I thought it was a nut shot also. No matter what you think of that call, Ed's comeback was just fucking great.

Yeah, I agree but I believe it was the pain of the knee to the ribs/gut that made him turtle and saved him from the inevitable loss at that point. The comeback was unreal for sure

Nut shot would say no but inadvertant low blow yes thing it was & getting your cup pushed down will def cause you to feel pretty uncomfortable not to mention to use may look like wasn't much but probably had alot more force then it appears. Just like say when guys block kicks with their arms looks like not much but you know that shit hurts alot more then it looks but much better then getting hit in the face with one.

The ref made a good call end of they day but IMHO was a lucky call cause I don't think he saw the inadvertant low blow byt he downward force of the knee & mad his call based on the connection of the wrong strike or just based of Ed's reaction. Which seems plenty of refs are doing when it comes to eye pokes or strikes to the groin just cause a fighter reaction even if they didn't see it cuz have def seen a handful of strikes in past replay showed was clearly in the stomach area or inside leg that never touched or came near the fighters cup but they played it off like it did or since just getting hit around that area hard can make you feel pain in the groin area then the ref makes a call when they didn't even see it clearly.

They def need to be allowed a replay mid fight if needed for some things like anytime a point is takin for a fowl for example since losing a fight or havaing a draw cuz ref took a point from a wrong call is a big deal that effects a fight livelyhood when they didn't do what the point was taken for.

Been a fan for a while, but the guy needs to retire. just in this interview alone I can see the effects of CTE. He is not well. His lips and face move in awkward ways. The guy is not going to have a great quality of life in the end.

Sad, really.
