You know me sir. Manhoef might have pretty bad submission defense and a chin that is gone from being a middleweight fighting heavyweights for years, but damn at least the dude never literally cried like a sorority girl and made up an anxiety disorder to try to cry his way out of getting arrested

Fighting Mark Hunt on 3 days notice, out weighed by over 70 pounds > being heavyweight sized but too afraid to fight heavyweights despite the “best” “contenders” left beingAnthony Fucking Smith Dominic Reyes and Blschowiscsz

Spoiler:
Pwwwwwease owwwwficer I have anxietytrty pwwwwwwease dont awwwwwest me pwwwwwease open up a window!

This. All the true fighters move up and take on all comers like Manhoef did and GSP did.

GSP is a legend. He actually fought for the title against a LHW in Bisping who had cut weight to be a MW. Unbelievable to fight such a large man and win. He should go down in history as the GOAT just because of that.

Think about that

One of the UFCs most accomplished fighters/dominant champion doesn’t even make a million per fight in base pay after 12 years with the company

Absolutely hilarious how bad the UFC underpays.

:P

The ufc paid cm punk 500k for his losses, each.
Pretty generous company.

Lol. Punk brought with him a large audience and a name to attach to their event. Are you completely clueless or just pretending to be?

:P

Use your brain. Has your own trolling made you blind to others?

Haha people getting mad that Jones didn't move up to HW is assanine. He's not naturally huge. People getting mad that he wants to get paid more for taking a much riskier fight, don't give a shit about fighters. Anyone can bitch about Jones' wins, losses, outside behaviour but WHO ELSE is making callouts like that right now? NOBODY. Pay the man. If he was truly willing to put on this fight, he deserves to be paid properly for it. After all his fuck ups, after all the microscopes being on him, after all the hate from so many sources, he's still fighting, still trying to be the best. Is that something we still need to ignore?

Not shocked the call out to Ngannou was phony. Just another way to stay relevant in the limelight and as a negotiation tactic.

The guy may never move up.

If he does leave the UFC then the title will probably move around a lot like the good ol days.

What with guys like Dominic Reyes and Rod Blagojevich as top contenders it's sure to be an incompletely dominant division without Jonny boy around.

I'd rather see him flatlined at least once before he goes away...only to reappear every couple months when he gets arrested again.

Personally I was looking forward to the fight. I think Ngannou is an easier fight than a Reyes rematch.

Random celebs with a 1% stake getting paid more than 99% of the fighters. Easily more than all the fighters combined.
