UFC's Jon Jones, Chael Sonnen Rip Each Other with Personal Attacks on Twitter

Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen went after each other on Twitter Saturday without even mentioning each other by name.

Jones began the attacks while referencing Sonnen having a YouTube channel:

Jon Bones Jones

@JonnyBones

Who is this?
Has been with now man boobs making money off of YouTube getting hit talking about Jon Jones?

Jon Bones Jones

@JonnyBones

that took a whole 25 seconds for you guys to figure out, impressive

Sonnen retired after his last fight in 2019, but he has remained involved in UFC through a podcast and YouTube channel. The 43-year-old recently discussed Jones in a potential bout against Francis Ngannou on Beyond the Fight.

After the initial attack, Sonnen fired back with several tweets talking about Jones' problems outside the ring:

Chael Sonnen

@ChaelSonnen

Guy

You’re the only fighter in UFC history w/more Mug Shots than Al Capone

Chael Sonnen

@ChaelSonnen

You have permanent handcuff-creases in your wrists

Chael Sonnen

@ChaelSonnen

If you ever DROVE SOBER the networks would cover it LIVE w/HELICOPTERS

Chael Sonnen

@ChaelSonnen

But
On that rare occasion when a fan asks for a pic-do you give them the side-view out of habit?

There were more than a dozen related attacks over the course of a 20-minute period.

Jones was arrested in March and charged with driving while intoxicated, negligent use of a deadly weapon and possession of an open container, according to TMZ Sports. Police reportedly responded to a call about gunshots and found the UFC star with a hand gun and a bottle of tequila in his car.

He also had a DUI arrest in 2012 and received probation for a hit-and-run in 2015.

These two MMA stars have traded verbal jabs in the past but battled in the Octagon just once in their career with Jones coming away with a first-round knockout in 2013.
I'm so fucking high.

Chael set the record for most prohibited substances in a single test yet people don't care because he didn't beat all their favorite fighters.

It is baffling how both guys who are proven cheaters and criminals have the nerve to talk shit about each other. Oh almost forgot they are both snitches too. Anyway as much as I hate both guys I am hoping Ngannou and Jones throw down at heavyweight.

Chael Sonnen is more liked because he came clean, he's a cheater and one that likely used a shit load as well. But he has been straight up saying he tried to gain an advantage and got caught. No excuses, he did what he did and it has tarnished his reputation. Jones on the other hand has played like he was a pious dude and cried, yet he kept doing dumb shit. To me Jones just seems like a straight up thug.

Sonnen had a gimmick and everyone knew it, Jones wasn't a gimmick.

Sonnen career wise doesn't likely make the hall of fame but purely due to his PED past I think he shouldn't be inducted. He's hilarious though and is a pioneer of the UFC's shit talking for sure.

^ Chael ratted out his buddies when he got busted for mortgage fraud. Screwing people over while they're in the process of buying a house is pretty fucking low, IMO. :idea:

Just pointing out how people always let Chael (and white-collar crime as a whole) slide despite the fact he is a cheater, scumbag, and fraudster as well. Jon's crimes are more violent and reckless but Chael knowingly and purposefully attempted to defraud people. Jon didn't knowingly and purposefully target a pregnant woman.

Oh, and Chael apparently fucked over his business partners in that pizza shop he had for a time. Seeing a pattern here :nerd:

Maybe Chael's partners were more corrupt than him? Jones running back to get his weed and cash after crashing isn't slimey as fuck? For all we know, Jones was about to pull an Aaron Hernandez before the cops found him parked. Seems odd to me that someone can just matter of fact state who is the worst of two bad apples when it doesn't matter, they're both rotten.
