I was pretty indifferent about Joe during his Fear Factor days, and only recently gave his stand up a try. MMA is the reason I started grappling (even though I still suck), and I learned a lot of early concepts from him. Some of his JRE topics have led me to try new things like sensory deprivation as well, and agree with some of his viewpoints. But most of the episodes don't leave any lasting impression on me. I just think the person on there is entertaining (or insane), and think "Oh that's interesting." I've only watched about ten episodes to be honest.
I can see his show being a bigger deal. There are so many episodes now, and he's covered a lot of topics. But I'll remember him more for all things martial arts.
I don't always agree with his commentary, but he's a net positive for the sport.

As a commentator he sounds informed but when he works with fighters who commentate you can see he has a long way to go. Also his saying he is an atheist and throwing satanic hand signs makes me question what he actually believes in??

Commentator and JRE to me both. Didn't watch Fear Factory and even though I watched and still watch a lot of his JRE podcasts his stand up I've never liked at all. He's a commentary legend and best listened to podcast so in that regard he's also huge. Inspirational guy. He's non religious for sure and that satanic stuff what do you actually mean with that?

This. An all-time underrated show. Andy Dick and Phil Hartman were hilarious. Everyone had a good character. The boss (from the dodge ball movie) was great too.
GSP is a lame
He lost to BJ
He lost to Hendricks
He ducked the rematch
He ducked Silva
He ducked Whittaker
He would lose to Nick in no time limit
He's the fakest champ ever crowned
