I see a pattern here
I never knew how her wrestling career went, I wouldn’t follow her or fake wrestling but that’s hilarious it true.
In advance TL;DR: It's all in how they booked her and other examples of bad booking.
At first she was getting cheered because she was going against the Authority. One of her promos essentially insinuated that she wanted to "work" for the opportunity, and then lo and fucking behold, WWE's booking insured she had the belt within a month or two. The problem isn't so much Rousey, it's more WWE's booking. The fans I don't think were necessarily booing her, they were booing the booking. That's what a lot of people don't realize. How a company books their entertainers are essential to how good the show is. For example, Bray Wyatt debuted a gimmick that he came up with himself called "The Fiend." In wrestling terms, it was one of the most awesome fucking things WWE had allowed, and he had some MAJOR traction. Well, WWE thought that in order to make him legit, they'd put the belt on him. Why they thought that, I don't know, because if your presence with the fans is good enough to be cheered as a babyface while a company is trying to present you as a heel, clearly, you don't need the extra prestige, fans are already behind you.
Problem is, the blunder at Hell In A Cell (where the ref called the match due to things going too far in a fucking match called Hell in a Cell where Mick Foley got thrown off the cell, through the cell, and into thumbtacks) which ended in a No Contest, and then once the Fiend DID get the belt, they had him drop it to fucking Goldberg... all so they can set up a feud with him and Roman Reigns. Essentially the way they had booked him was this invincible motherfucker who no sold 11 finishing moves, only to be beaten by Goldberg in less than a few minutes.
It's all about bad fucking booking. They could have made something great out of Rousey, but they went back on the fan's wishes and fucked everyone.
