CORONAVIRUS Linkers by the day

Postby KingOfPancrase » Sun Mar 15, 2020 3:15 pm

So with one guy in one of the other threads claiming he already contracted the Wuhan Chinese man killer bio virus....I thought it would be a good idea for any of us who get it to post daily updates in this thread. For those who already had it post your struggles/recovery story. Symptoms and all. And if any of us are unfortunate enough to come down with flu like symptoms, we should document it by the day in this thread. Along with possible remedies to ease the symptoms. I finally found a stockpile of water, Gatorade and flue medicine today so if I gotta self quarantine then cowabunga it is.

Spoiler:
in addition to water, food, hand sanitizer etc academy was out of 9mm hollow points and target rounds...and was also out of 12 gauge slugs and 00 buck and 5.56. My gun range would only sell people one box of 50 9mm at a time if they wanted to shoot there...so if you own weapons for self defense keep your eye out...might take a lot longer to restock that shit than water and sanitizer. I've got several hundred rounds and a couple boxes of 12 gauge so should be good for now if it comes to mass looting.

Spoiler:
Never know when you're going to need to cure somebodies oxygen addiction with a fatal does of lead poisoning.

Spoiler:
Stay safe linkers.

You're more relevantly prepared than most of the people around me. Grocery stores were wiped out of toilet paper, potatoes, bread, milk, and pork.

Anyway, in Ohio all schools will be closing down for 3 weeks beginning end of the day tomorrow and the governor just announced that bars and dine-in restaurants will be closing tonight at 9 for an indeterminate amount of time. Carry-out and delivery still available. 37 confirmed cases so far, 361 being investigated, and no deaths yet.

The worlds overpopulated with shitty people, time to go.

My Nana has a 7 people in her building supposedly with the virus but she's good so far.
Apparently they have a doctor coming to do rounds and test today and tomorrow so we're hoping we have a definitive answer soon on her health.
I'm third party to it all, I hope to talk to my Nana today and see what's up.

I stocked up on .22 and 12 gauge a few weeks ago but am low on both grains of 30.06 I use.
I'm on a well and off a cattle farm with 6 additional wells that can all be hand drawn if necessary so I'm good on water.
Got 4 rain barrels that I use to grow my veggies and weed as well.
Generator and 4 cans of gas are always on standby in case of a power outage.
Got a pile of first aid supplies for the courses I do anyways and tons and tons flu meds, antibiotics and disinfecting stuff.
But I live in the middle of nowhere so I'm usually prepared anyway in case I get snowed in or my road floods out.
My whole town is buying the ice cream like it's nobody's business, I saw one lady with 16 4l cartons and she thought she needed more.
And we have one fucking case here, it's insanity the way people are reacting, mom's are getting just absolutely taken for baby wipes as the stores are all sold out, like $12-$16 for a small travel pack, it's fucking sickening efficient capitalism.

Sounds like you're in an enviable position compared to myself and many others. Rural and isolated is always preferable to packed in urban centers in situations like these. At my age I'm not worried about the virus killing me. I'm worried about people my dads age. I'm also worried about how bad the situation could deteriorate if all the cops/ firemen/people who make the trains run on time get sick and can't work. Well when the loot crews come through this time I won't be trapped downtown at the jail for a week like during Hurricane Harvey. Even if I'm devastatingly ill as long as I can pull a trigger should be good.

I agree about worrying with public workers. I work for the big electrical utility company in so cal and I'm really curious what is going to be said tomorrow. I dont work on field crews anymore, but I know half those fucks that do wont want to do anything unless its emergency work, and even then they will use the excuse of being home for family. I'm an inspector now and I wonder if they are going to tell us to not go into the office or what. The company is very progressive so we shall see what happens.

Online schools are included in the school building shutdown so I’ll be working from home for the foreseeable future. Introvert me is not upset
