You where right dude.

Never go to Texas again, UFC. We're onto you.

Told ya.

Izzy will beat Yoel. There's a reason for this fight btw. Izzy wants to fight someone HE feels is on steroids. The same with Ricky Martin look alike. He's prepping for cheaters, to take down the ultimate cheater. Downside is Izzy won't get help beating Jones, like Jones got help last night.
Izzy will save UFC. Make MMA Real Again lol

Reyes got robbed. He clearly won the first 3 rounds. Clear as day.

Jones was even turning and running from Reyes when he was throwing combos in the first few rounds

Jones saying he would for sure beat Stipe if he moved up is so hilarious. The dude could not even handle Reyes or Santos back to back

Arguably Reyes won the fourth too, the stats say Jones outstruck him, but Dom landed the better strikes.

Not sure what fight you guys were watching. This is coming from someone who said Reyes would be the one to dethrone jones after his fight in the UFC. He did well and for sure got the first. 2nd and 3rd were both close, 4th and 5th jones all day with jones looking like he could come out for another round or 2 while reyes was looking for his inhaler. Even with this shitty 10 point system you have to win the whole fight and not just give up if you think you are up on the cards.

Reyes looked great and landed some really good shots. That said, a lot of the strikes counted for him were glancing blows as Jones swayed away.

Reyes landed more sig shots but Jones was the agressor and was controlling Octagon and had the BS panic wrestler takedowns, won 4th and 5th. It looked bad how gassed Reyes was in 5th when Jones was stalking him. On paper Reyes should have scored more points but he still never "beat" the champ. Just like Edgar and Forrest never "beat" Penn and Rampage. I agree with the decision except for that one judge but that's not my point. The same way GSP won against Riggs. The champ should never be dethroned by a close objective decision. Reyes looked damn good and gave us a war, ESPN already calling for instant rematch.

If those cheap oblique kicks and teeps to the knees or legs count as sig strikes then glancing blows do too.

What in the fuuuuuck!!!
Reyes won that fight without any God damn question. How can anyone think Jones won that!?!Jones won 1 or 2 rounds at the most. The 4th maybe and the 5th.Even in the 4th Reyes did the most damage.
This guy is that fakest champion I've ever seen and has now lost three fights yet gets the nod each time.

Not sure what your talking about but Reyes won the majority of the fight either way.Just because he slowed down at the end doesn't matter considering he won more of the fight and rounds than Jones did.Like I've said before the majority of what Jones throws is glancing or misses anyways. In the end Reyes landed more significant strikes over 3 plus rounds.Get your eyes checked.

I don’t want to jump the gun (did that with Machida Shogun, then rewatched and saw how close it was), but my initial reaction is, how can you say 2 and 3 were close, but not 4? Reyes outlanded Jones in 2 and 3 and they were better shots. Round 4, Jones outlanded Reyes, but his shots were not as good.

I thought 4 was close, but expected Jones to get it off the pressure.

My initial assessment is Jones won by walking forward whilst achieving little, and getting TDs, but not securing them nor causing damage from them.

Will rewatch ASAP.

Jones lost period.

He seemed apathetic. Maybe that was the plan tho. Take him to deep waters and come back at the end. Nobody remembers the start of the fight. Boxers will do this all the time, for a whole fight even. Only fight in the last minute of every round, to keep it fresh in the judges mind. Since fights are scored round by round, you only need to do something significant in a round to "win" the round. Practical approach to a whole gameplan for a fight. Jones didn't win...he just didn't lose (if that makes sense).

Reyes was right, Jones did take him down, but, it shouldn't have counted for much, because he did fuck all with it. Reyes showed A LOT in this fight, and his stock went up a bunch. Sucks he had to lose, and in that fashion just increases my distaste for Jones.

I cant be mad with that decision. Think about this, if it was a fight to the death (unlimited rounds) who would have won?

Good point. Then again Reyes might have gotten a second wind. Jones seemed fairly tired by the end of round 5. Reyes was dead, but, might have bounced back.
