My Grandfather Is Not Doing Well

Postby TheMadTitan » Sat Nov 10, 2018 7:14 pm

The man that raised me and a man that I DEARLY love and idolize and respect is very sick with cancer, and I am not handling this well at all. Crying as I type this post.

Please say a prayer for him and my family in this difficult time. Love you guys. Probably be in chat tonight for the fights!!

Very sad news, Mate.

My father has stage 3 brain cancer and i’m pretty much just pretending it’ll be alright.

Hey man, that shit is brutal, I lost my father a few years back and I can tell you that it’s a life changing ordeal. Say what you have to say to him, stay around loved ones, and try to keep
Your shit Together man. Godspeed

Thank you guys for the kind words. Thats good advice my friend. I feel so bad because in order to cope with the reality of the situation I avoided him for a long time. Avoided seeing him like that but now I'm stricken with guilt at the selfishness of that approach. I'm over there 5 times a week visiting him and sitting with him. He looks so sick, God help me man I swear this thing is tearing me apart, but I'm going to work every day and keeping busy all the while.

I just can't bare to see him suffer. I got on my hands and knee's last night and prayed to God to not let him suffer. I was sobbing like a fucking baby, cried myself to sleep last night. I am a mess.

Yes, I too have been in denial of the situation. Reality is hitting me like a ton of bricks.

I'm so sorry about your father man. I will say a prayer tonight for him. Stay strong brother, and shoot me a PM if you need to talk.

Tough to hear that a fellow linker is going through a hard time like this. We must stick together as linkers because we will all have to deal with something like this at some point.

Keep your head up buddy and I will see you in chat later :hand2:

Sorry to hear buddy.
When engaged in combat, the vanquishing of thine enemy can be the warrior's only concern. Suppress all human emotion and compassion. Kill whoever stands in thy way, even if that be Lord God or Buddha himself.

Be happy for him. His transition to the after life is coming. From what many religions teach is supposed to be an amazing place. We will all join them soon.

Almost like when you parents signed you up for summer camp. At first you really didn't want to go and were very depressed. Then once you arrived you had so much fun that you didn't want to leave. Or at least something along those lines.

Miss him okay, mourn him do not. I say we celebrate his passing into the afterlife.
