Bigg Rigg and Weezy unretire

Postby PBells » Tue Sep 18, 2018 9:45 am

....and will face each other in bare-knuckle boxing!

Hendricks and longtime Bellator contender Brennan Ward have agreed to make their bare-knuckle boxing debuts in a 185-pound matchup at the inaugural show of the World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation (WBKFF), which takes place Nov. 9 at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyoming. MMA Fighting confirmed the booking Monday following an initial report by FightbookMMA.

"Irish" Brennan Ward was set to take on Andre Fialho at Bellator 207 but suddenly retired last week. Will we see a decent scrap? Will Hendricks make weight? How many bare-knuckle orgs can there be until the novelty wears off? Find out in November!

This event also features a rehash of Joey Beltran vs. Tony Lopez whose first bare-knuckle contest brought a lot of exposure to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

I wonder how much this BKB organization is paying, they seem to get a lot of random fighters out of retirement. Chris Lytle starched a dude a few weeks ago I am pretty sure

There are like 600 bare-knuckle boxing orgs now. It's hard to differentiate which is which. The one Johnny will be fighting for is brand new, apparently.

Been watching all of them at work. Joe Roggs and the Melvin Guillard fights were awesome. Even Shoney Carter went the distance with another top Gypsy champ. They are fun to watch especially when Joe Riggs forgets and slams and elbows his opponent.

Really getting tired of these fumble ass fighters fetiring. I figured Johny would join Major League Eating or something.

Bigg Rig vs Guillard at whatever they weigh might be interesting.

Speaking of unretiring, Chris Leben will be on this same card taking on Phil Baroni.

Guillard, Josh Neer, and Joe Stevenson are also on the roster.

Brennan Ward pulled out due to contract disputes so Big Johny will now be facing Dakota Cochrane.

This is all going down Friday along with Leben/Baroni and Neer/someone.

Didn't know Bas Rutten was the president of this promotion, either.
