Team AKA Strikes Again...

Postby Oldtoby420 » Thu Jun 07, 2018 5:08 am

Team AKA strikes again another fighter this time a top UFC prospect out of SBG Ireland, Richie Smullen becomes the next victim of Javier Mendez / AKA's over trianing regiment leading his body to shut down when his muscles cramped up badly so he couldn't fight. After blood test were done the episode after he had to forfiet his fight we find out over training caused his muscles to break down "presumably mainly focused in his legs muscles" leading to his kidneys filling up with blood which commonly eventually leads to your kidneys possibly shutting down if it gets to bad.

Why anyone listens to this guys bullshit trainning regime with out question anymore is beyond me, it's already side lined & ruined Cain's MMA fighting career in the UFC not to mention what the fans have missed out on cuz of it but now potentially ruined Richie Smullen MMA career making him look really bad as well as SBG Ireland where he trains out of that has done a much better job atm then AKA with up & comers.

Yeah AKA sucks but allot of these guys and their coaches don't know how to do shit. Anyway if it was easy to not get injured training for combat sports we all would do it.

No shit we all know it's a combat sport injuries in training happen more so in MMA then any other sport but AKA has clearly been known for over training & fighters getting injured before fights that they then had to drop out of. Some of them on the show were of no fault of DC or AKA strategy but this current one certainly was & other can be questionable but they are clearly pushing their fighters on the show more then Stipe's team & over doing it to boot. Come on fighters not even getting hurt in combat training & having to pull out of fights from over done cardio or strength training SMH.

It was funny how made mention how can't stand Javier Mendes then saw the show was coming up soon didn't even think twice until saw a preview then 1st episode he was shown coaching fighters like oh fuck this clown again. But luckily Dana doesn't like him what so ever & he's either getting no air time if any at all on the show or if lucky not even particpating as a coach any longer cept sadly they still follow his bs way of training.

I predict after DC is retired AKA will drop off the map & go down hill fast & already looks like they aren't to happy with how much DC does commentating for UFC or coaches his kids wrestling team / squad taking away from his time at AKA wear they ride his coat tails to garner members since now Cain isn't relevant & probably no longer ever will be again.

Yes yes AKA seems to be catering more to acquiring more Russian guys in the gym to fill in for all the injured fighters.

They do still have quite a few young/up and comers that have not broke through yet to the main main stream to be fair

Andre Filaho (8-1)
Thomas Ponce De Leon (3-0)
Aaron Pico (3-1)
Kevin Garcia (7-2)
JJ Okanovich (8-2)

Guys like Justin Willis (8-1) Zubaira Tukhogov (18-4) Gabriel Benetiz (21-6) are also already in the UFC and doing well in terms of wins and loses.

While Jon Fitch continues to put people to sleep (who watch his fights) In bellator

Plus AKA has already expanded to Thailand with Team AKA Thailand run by Mike Swick. They have a damn good gym up there, Amir Aliakbari (8-1) would smash a lot of UFC heavyweights and Mubaraksho Mubarakshoev (6-0) and Sai Wang (23-6-1) are UFC ready as well. In my opinon

I am all for criticizing AKA as they are notorious for overtraining and hurting fighters. However I am not sure saying they will be going out of business after DC leaves is all that logical looking at how much they are expanding globally and recruiting/building a whole new generation of fighters.
Officially 6-2 in sig bets. *pats back* 5 time A league champion. :gold: :gold: :gold: :gold: :gold:

The difference is AKA has been called out by the mma world for it, and even had to have a sit down with the ufc about it. When your top fighters constantly get injured its a problem. Yes, injuries happen...... but aka and javier have a known history of pushing fighters yoo much and doing the wrong training near fights to get this wrap.

No other camp has had this much of an issue, especially with their bigger stars.
