Bisping in hall of fame??

Postby muythaijitsu » Thu May 31, 2018 4:54 pm

This is an easy one. Do you guys want Bisbing in hof? I think he deserves a spot in there. He has been around forever and he just never quits. He kept at it so long that he even ended winning the belt. I say throw him in the hof. I mean the guy gave his eye for the sport.

Overall he didn't beat a bunch of great fighters. He was never as bad as people would say he was, but he was never elite. I feel like HOF'ers should be either great fighters, accomplished something amazing in the sport, or were memorable in competition.

I would put Donald Cerrone over Bisping, despite not winning a UFC belt. He beat better fighters, he is a better fighter, and would show up regardless who the opponent is, and takes on all challengers.

UFC HOF seems to be more about the companies disposition than actual accomplishments (maybe this will change under new ownership).

I see the dude as a standard gatekeeper but that doesn't disqualify him from the HOF. He was the first English draw the UFC had...fought a shit ton of fights in the UFC-stranger things have happened
