But now the waters start to get muddy with areas of the world with more of a mix of intergration with both good & bad so can be a bit of a step back.

Not to mention advancement in training & other things we no more of now then back in the day & well both OK'd & illegal PED's / Steroids along with other medecine to help atheles recover faster.

That is a really long-winded way to say that you are a racist.

Silva was so skilled but no way be goes an 10 title defense in thia era.

Liddel tito randy rouce shamrock any of them wouldn't do shit today

Plese stop this.

You are crazy if you think prime BJ couldn't hold a candle to McGregor. He was fighting bigger guys all the time and doing well. Conor would have been a challenge and no easy win, but BJ was crazy in his prime. Look what he did to Sherk and GSP. GSP was a big dude in their first fight and he pieced him up good even though he lost, and McGregor wouldn't have anything to offer in the ground department. And Usman over GSP? I'm pro GSP but come on man. You don't think GSP could do anything against Usman? In his absolute prime??? I mean he obviously wouldn't have a wrestle heavy strategy but you don't think GSP has a striking advantage? Anyway, all the guys you mentioned are entertaining.

Im not saying bj couldnt hold a candle to any of them im saying hes the heavy underdog in a striking match. He could definitely tap mcchicken but its a reach to say hed tap tony or justin.
Usman might be a bad example but ironically enough i think prime woodley could beat prime gsp. In any case similar to silva theres no way gsp goes undefeated with just two losses that he avenges in this era. Usman woodley masvidal colby maia ponzinibio rda edwards till wonderboy whittaker somebody woulda caught him slipping. In this era gsp might do better if he just said fuckit and started swinging. But that lay and pray shit wouldnt work. The fighters are too big and too strong.

..
The only fighters that come to mind who could find succeas in this era are bj silva gsp fedor maybr ives edwards ..someone posted something about shogun i agree. Maybe wanderlei . cro cop big nog.. Theres definitely more but none of them would have the same success... They be journeymen as opposed to champions

Im not saying shoguns no match for them but both glover and jan would fair better in the 2000s than shogun did in the 2010s

Just came to mind what about if the Pride rules are in effect, completely changes the game how some of these newer fighters would get wrecked.

A lor foos would definitely get wrecked but a lot of foos would also be better
..
Imagine if a top wrealer like cormier (or cain) fought fedor under pride rules...
Yoel against silva???
Khabib against bj??
... Going further back..
Cejudo against torres or faber
....

The only reason fedor jones bjg nog liddel cro cop tito randy are relevant today is because the talent pool isn't deep at those weights
.
But looks at cruzs aldos bjs georges silvas lineups and compare those lineups to today's top contenders
.
.
.

Mighty Mouse the goat.(for now)

Tank Abbott drank beer for breakfast, benched 600lbs and fought 3 fights later that night with jail as the price

Then drank some more beer
