Another thing that comes to mind is weight-class changes and whether it's a one-or-two-time thing or a permanent move. Dodson, for example, is a permanent move IIRC. Donald Cerrone... well his last fight was at 170 and his next scheduled one is as well, so my guess would be it's a permanent but who knows?

These are valid points many ranking sites drop a fighter after a year of inaction. But sometimes that is a result of injuries or other career delays, not moving away from the sport.

So here on linker we need to come up with rules for us to follow.

I say for example if a player retired, like GSP, not like Conor, then they are off the rankings immediately.

But for inactivity, somehow 1 year is too short. I would be inclined to say 18 months or 2 years.

I call on the site moderators to make a decision, please.

I only had Cat ranked because she has a fight booked, otherwise she probably would've fallen off
