Dude I have watched a VERY little arm wrestling on ESPN but when I read the title I wondered if it would be about John (couldn't think of his last name). Awesome legend.

Great doc.. too bad Voevoda quit armwrestling after his win of the title.

I don't understand the mania over Voevoda. He has one big win against the GOAT who was very close to retirement at the time (and who he outweighed significantly). That's it. He has lost several times and will probably lose to the top guys today when he returns in 2014. The only thing he has going for him is that he's left handed, but unfortunately for him so is Larratt who would own him 6-0 or 4-2 at worst in a supermatch IMO and Cyplenkov who is putting his technique together (visible in his recent win at the Russian championships this year where he destroyed Liliev and Pushkar). So the best he could possibly do is be 3rd in a comparatively shallow unlimited left class imo.

In any case, armwrestling is the shit, lol. Devon Larratt is THE GUY right now and will be for as long as he's heatlhy IMO. I think he would trash Denis in a supermatch. He has a lot of vids all over YT from lots of differetn accounts but he's a hilarious guy and looks to be an astonishingly good teacher. I plan on trying to set up monthly training with him (and his crew in Ottawa) this summer.

Here's one of my favorite AW vids:

Hey I stumbled upon this new match between Arsen Liliev and Cyplenkov.

First looking a how Arsen destroyed Semerenko I think Cyplenkovs win is even more impressive.

Cyplenkov vs Arsen.

Cyplenkov will be tough to beat... Devon must bring his A game if he wants it. With every day going by Cyplenkov is learning technique and we know who got the power as Cyplenkovis a former strongman and looking at his abnormal physique.

I watched an awesome doc on netflix instant stream about this guys career a couple years ago. He gets nothing but mad respect from pullers across the world. Did you know? Arm wrestling (Know as pulling outside of the US) is one of the largest sports in Russia? In fact I think it might be the largest.
