I'm trying to decide which brand and style to pick for a muay thai heavybag. I obviously need it to be 72' long and at least 100 lbs, I know that much. What I cant decide is what brand to pick from and if I should get leather or synthetic leather. I've heard you cant go wrong with Fairtex, but they're expensive as hell. On titlemma.com they sell thai bags for $100 which seems like a good deal to me. If any of you guys have experience with Thai Bags id love to hear your opinions.

If it's just going to be you for the occasional practice, then I'd go with the $100 bag. I'm guessing that the Fairtex bag is expensive because it's designed for heavy duty use in a gym full of trainees.

have you ever looked into a water foam one. they protect you from injury to allow you to go harder.
i would recommend this one: http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=23363

I actually went with a Twins Thai Heavy bag. I had bought a few products from them before and have been really satisfied, and I must say the same thing about the Heavy Bag. It has a really nice give to it but at the same time it really gives your shins a nice workout with repeated striking.
