Hey KOP, how do you feel about Rogan and his buddies moving to Austin? Joe is sick of the homelessness and liberalism of California (actual reason: will save millions in taxes on his Spotify deal) and his orbiters depend on him for their livelihoods.

That’s what I hear, but I know basically nothing about it outside a YouTuber there who films street fights in HD

Yes. Dallas right behind it. The dregs of society.

I don't really care. While it's annoying Californians moving here and bringing their shithead politics with them (despite fleeing the results of these politics)... the real reason Texas will be blue within 4 years is the Hispanic problem. Lot of mexicans turn 18 every 4 years just in time for a new election. But "conservatives" don't have the balls to talk about the real problem.

Kind of like cicadas.

In a rare bit of good news, Trader Joe's has decided against changing their "racist" sub-brand names for ethnic cuisine like Trader Ming's, Trader José's, Trader Giotto's, etc. Happy to see that butthurt SJW petitions don't control every company.

Used to think this way about Chic Fil A...then their slack jawed faggot company head got on the news and said on video white people should bow down and kiss/wash black peoples feet. Pathetic.

^ I had a feeling this was false/misleading (beyond the equating two different diseases):

In July 2020, social media users posted a meme that included a screenshot of an article excerpt that allegedly demonstrated hydroxychloroquine would be an effective “cure and vaccine” against COVID-19.

The claim stems from an opinion piece by Bryan Fischer, former director of the American Family Association, that interpreted a 2005 study on the utility of chloroquine to treat SARS as being relevant to COVID-19 — a disease that did not exist at the time of that paper’s publication. SARS (aka SARS-CoV, which caused epidemics in the early 2000s) and COVID-19 (aka SARS-CoV-2) are both caused by coronaviruses, but that does not mean that both could be treated with the same medication.

Similarly, hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are related drugs, but that does not mean they are interchangeable. Finally, the excerpted study was limited in scope and based on laboratory results. Fischer attempted to tie Dr. Anthony Fauci to the 2005 study by falsely alleging that it was published in a journal run by the U.S. agency Fauci heads.

They are related diseases though. The thing that sounds my bullshit detectors is CNN posting articles saying chloroquine has been shown to help many coronavirus patients and then the next week trashing Trump for touting doctors who say the same. Plus...if a simple malaria drug is effective treatment...then there goes big pharmas trillions upon trillions for a vaccine.

There's really not a lot of good info about anything regarding the disease, that's one of the major problems with this IMO. We're all kind of learning on the fly which is why gloves were recommended at first and then not recommended, masks weren't necessary at first but are now mandatory, "It doesn't spread on surfaces" vs. "We do see some spread by surface" and so on.

I don't blame people for not trusting what we are being told when it seems like no one has a clue.
