Absolutely. From what I've seen the pedophilia thing was mainly hollywood/elites. Small segment. Sexual Degeneracy? Yeah but that's everywhere at this point. Illegal immigration is what drastically changed the state. I mean....they went from electing Ronald Reagan(who I by no means think is the greatest president ever by far) to what we have now...Did all those people from the 70's and 80's just magically change their views over the next 40 years? Or were they replaced and out reproduced? The answer is quite simple.
And as for the clown below you linking lolbertarian "thinktank" articles, believing i'm on welfare, and claiming California is doing so great![]()

I was a libertarian about 8 years ago. The Ron/Rand Paul type. And while I still sympathize with some of their positions- anti war being chief among them, they do jack all to recognize "free trade" is nothing but a lie that has hurt the United States 2nd only to illegal immigration....and that their libertarian ideals don't survive in a borderless country where people who don't share your ideals pore in, breed like rabits, and get on your welfare state.
I work for a living son . And I've never been in debt in my life. KoP is always in the black baby. I'm imagining you're quite the opposite of me in this regard.
California...geez where do I start.... They are such an economic powerhouse apparently yet had to beg Trump for help during their last forest fire outbreak because they allocated all of their money to Liberal bullshit. The socialist peoples republic of Cuckfornia also has some of (if not the most ) restrictive gun laws in the country. If it's so great there then why are white california liberals fleeing to places like Texas to escape the extremely high cost of living, rampant crime, whole cities filled with human feces on every street corner and ridiculous taxes? Oh and how dare they flee the "diversity" they claim to cherish! Was extremely entertaining watching them meltdown when trump threatened to send illegals to their beloved "sanctuary cities" DIVERSITY FOR THEE BUT NOT FOR ME! *flees into gated all white communities*

The hypocrisy and holier than though attitude is obnoxious and baseless. No arguments from me on that.
I agree with you on the gun laws as well-banning guns seems, to me, to be treating a symptom as opposed to fixing the problem and (as you can tell from this exchange) I am absolutely not with that shit. Right or left-if it doesn't fix the problem I don't support it. California has the most deaths by gun of any state in the country and, while the rate is pretty low, if the laws aren't effective they shouldn't be in place. I don't know much about annual changes since they put the tougher laws in place but I can't imagine its that great or they would have been yanking their dicks all over the news talking about how they've "solved the gun violence problem."

evidence wrote:After the 1980 census California became entitled to 45 congressional districts, a growth of two.[4] Democrats controlled both houses of the legislature and the governorship but were feeling vulnerable after former Governor Reagan had won California by a landslide in the 1980 presidential election. Democratic Congressman Phillip Burton and new State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown devised a redistricting plan that would result in five new safe Democratic seats.[5] Congressman Burton would boast that the bizarrely shaped map, which included a 385-sided district, was "My contribution to modern art".[6] Reacting to what was called "one of the most notorious gerrymanders" of the decade,[7] Republicans successfully placed a veto referendum on the primary ballot and California voters overwhelmingly rejected the legislature's redistricting plans in the June 1982 election, the same election that enacted the California Constitution's Victim's Bill of Rights.[8]
A majority of the California Supreme Court justices, however, had been appointed by Governor Jerry Brown and a sharply fractured court ordered the rejected districts to be used in the November election because only it was "practicable".[9] Democrats won 60% of the congressional seats despite only taking 49.9% of the statewide vote.[10] Democrats still lost the statewide elections, losing the governorship and incumbent Governor Jerry Brown losing his U.S. Senate bid to San Diego Mayor Pete Wilson. Governor Brown responded by calling an extraordinary legislative session, amending a previously passed bill with the redistricting plan that had just been rejected by the electorate, and signing the redistricting plan into law hours before being replaced by Republican George Deukmejian.[11]

Wow, look at how crippled Republican politics is in California! It's like Conservatives don't even exist. So oppressed!
And why are we mourning California in the first place? Shouldn't the "Muh 'Murca!" crowd be more upset at New York?
PBells wrote:Population density?! You mean like every other state in the country?! No way!
You still didn't answer my question about why we're supposed to mourn California
PBells wrote:Maybe if the counties had to compete for some reason, but I'm sure there are Republican governments in north California that aren't affected by what happens in Los Angeles county. Most of the BS (and I agree that it's BS) is in the Bay Area or down south and IMO inconsequential to the rest of the state.

I guess mourn for what it once was? Like pre 90's? And my point that you helped me made is pretty clear and you know it.
The heaviest populated areas in California vote democrat. These voters are by a large margin majority hispanic. So yes those red areas are indeed oppressed in the sense of though the map looks closer to 60-40 it's really way more skewed to the democrats.
AOC is doing a great job driving out the wealthy and businesses by trying to tax them to death. Is that what you are referencing in New York?
As far as modern California goes? Let it burn and all the Feinsteins with it.
