What other good/great career comebacks can you guys think of? Ngannou story almost doesn't count cause his only been in the game for some years.

Ruthless Robbie Lawler's is my favorite. UFC flash in the pan -> regional KO artist -> EliteXC champion -> StrikeForce bum -> UFC champion

Very good mention. UFC should do a short documentary about his ups and downs hyping up his next fight. He looked scary good against Asskren.

Good little comeback film. It just shows that allot of fighting is psychological. This guy was knocking out cans and quality fighters with no chin in the first round. Then after Miocic ate some good punches and then wrestled llhim to the ground. Then he controlled and landed hundreds of little punches on him. Even though they were little shots they probably were the first time ngannou was mildly concussed by the end of the fight. He probably was never controlled like that in any fight. so in the Lewis fight he probably was nervous and unconfident wearing the stink of defeat. Then he goes out and takes on all challengers and gets three first round knockouts in a row. Anyway if he gets another title shot I hope he lets his hands go and puts on a good fight,

Wasn't Randy Couture supposed to be done after losing to Barnett and Rodriguez? The UFC was basically feeding him to Liddell so Chuck could pick up the vacant/interim LHW belt.

Randy beat Chuck and went on to have a few decent fights after that.

Matt Serra is another name that comes to mind. He was on the TUF series named the comeback and managed to derail GSP's career at the time. GSP also came back from that, but no one called him "Rush" anymore.

Mark hunt's early ufc run was pretty cool. From Dana wanting to buy out his contract rather than letting him fight and losing in one round to Sean McCorkle, to going on a streak of walk off kos and even getting a title shot (interim, still counts!)

yeah, that's a good one. Frank Mir comes to mind too. Sure he's a bum but to come back from that motorcycle accident and win an interim title is still a big deal.

After Sergei 2 and the way his last few losses went I wasn't sure Overeem would even have basic motor skills again.
