In a rematch feel we'll see another desicion where JBJ sqeaks by & plays it safe not to lose to get the win.

It's more likely Reyes will get the finish then JBJ taking adavantage to finish the fight if he has Reyes in a bad spot cuz chances are he'll play it safe if he does rather then jump on the chance to finish the fight if the opportunity presents itself.

Jones has only had 2 career rematches, DC and Gus. Both series had same outcome. 5rd decision followed by 3rd rd tko :nerd:

I think Jones will come with a better gameplan. Jackson and team will have an actual fight between the opponent and their fighter to analyze. Not saying Reyes won't adjust some as well and possibly find the finish that eluded him, by a slim margin it seemed, in the beginning of the first fight. I see Jon either getting a more concrete UD or possibly a finish in rounds 3 or 4.

For what it's worth, Jones was juicing in the DC rematch, and fought a Gus who just didn't seem to be into fighting at that point. The first Gus fight was ideal because while Gus had taken a loss, he found a lot of success against Jones. Not so in the first round of their rematch, where it was blatantly obvious that Gus gave up. I think that a rematch with Reyes looks similar to the first fight until Reyes is the one who finishes. This doesn't have a Jones vs DC/Gus II feel, this has a Shogun/Machida 1 feel.

In your deluded opinion.

Reyes lost the fight. The longer it went the worse it would have been for him.

I guess his and many many others. Fact is, it wouldn't have gone further because it's a FIVE round, championship fight. You're allowed five rounds at most to do whatever it is you're going to do. There's no sense in bringing up what might have went on had it gone on longer. It's not like Jon was in much better shape.

Even though Jones lost kind of glad he is still champ. It will be more fun to watch him suffer.
