Single or Double Leg takdown

Postby SlamYouOnYourAss » Thu Oct 08, 2009 4:46 pm

Hello,

Can you guys give some GOOD tips while attempting to go for a single leg or double leg takedown? How can I practise this without a partner? Any exercises or drills? Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you

Work their head with your hands, tap and go. Also, look for them right after breaking off of a tie up or right after a stand up. If you're really quick you can hit a good low single right off the whistle. Drill lots of drop steps (with resistance if you can) to get your shot fast. Shadow grapple and visualize a partner as well. It workd wonders.

some good advice 4 the double leg is 2 keep moving 4ward it when ur momentum stops is when u get in trouble just look at gsp and the single u can usally transition 2 a double fairly easily treat it like a rough football tackle and yea do a lot of shadow wrestling
