Pure wrestling/ pure jit

It is well known that wrestling is a big help when training or competing in Jits comps. But does jits help in competing in pure wrestling.

Discuss.

Maybe?

Probably not, as the one of the main goals in wrestling is to get a pin and many techniques in Jiu Jitsu rely on using rolls on your shoulders to escape from bad positions.

Very true but i think hes asking if BJJ translates as well to wrestling as wrestling does to novice Nogi

my limited experience answer would be yes it helps, but not nearly as much

EDIT: wow this is old

BJJ does not translate at all into wrestling. If you try to be like a BJJ player in a wrestling match you will lose fast.
