Workout

Postby ghostdude8 » Fri Aug 21, 2009 5:40 am

20 medicine ball push ups
20 barbell curls (10 each hand)
15 barbell presses
15 lunges (15 each leg)
25 standing squats
10 medicine ball slams
10 burpees
10 medicine ball get ups

rest for a minute and repeat, i shoot for 6 sets.

i won't lie, by the 4th set my body is dead and this is when i push my cardio to the limit.

i also try to run 4-5 times a week, usually 3-4 miles is how long my running route is i'm guessing. I also do an ab workout which is just exercises that consist of my medicine ball. Than throw in doing jiu jitsu 4 times a week.

been doing this workout the past week (3 times in total since you can't do this everyday lol), i can feel my cardio getting better. gonna try and find other exercises that help me become a better grappler; not a better body builder ;)

Glad to see you adding your routines and workouts.

And whatever your goal is from body building to being a better athlete to looking better in the mirror the point is you are working out on a regular basis.

Wasn't saying you did, I just prefer training at the gym, with memebership I get free jiujitsu classes and access to the weights.

the place i train at only has jiu jitsu and kickboxing classes, i would have to go to 24 hour fitness if i wanted to work out at a gym.

Been thinking about getting some myself.

What weights did you get them in? Did you take a seminar with a RKC trainer or do you have a book/dvd? or are you just playing around with them at the moment?

Workout looks intense.

i got a 25 pound one, there pretty expensive so i only picked up one at the moment; probably buy another one next month.

no need for books or a DVD; the internet is our friend :) lol there's a ton of exercises i found online and i train with some people who use kettelbells so i can ask them for help if i need exercises.
