The first event for the newly founded PFL "regular season" starts tomorrow. It appears as if PFL will be doing a Thursday night fights type deal.


Here is a breakdown of the card for you slack jawwwwed casual fggggggts.

6-9 p.m. on the PFL facebook page they will be streaming 7 fights from the feathweight and heavyweight regular season matchups. Interesting fights include

Magomed Idrisov (8-1) vs Steven Siler (29-17)
Marcos Galvao (19-8-1) vs Nazareno Magalerie (28-4)
Valdrin Istrefi (12-1) vs Jared Rosholt (15-4)

The Main card streams on NBCSN from 9-11 PM. Interesting fights include

Timur Valiev (13-1) vs Max Coga (19-4)
Shawn Jordan (19-8) vs Philipe Lins (10-3)
Lance Palmer (12-3) vs Bekublat Magomedov (19-1)
Andre Harrison (17-0) vs Juma Tuerxen (20-5-1)


After I get off work tomorrow I will watch this card. If anyone wants to join feel free to come to chat. Should be a fun night of fights

Personally I am not so over the moon on the PFL "regular season" set up. I think its overly ambitious. Giving each guy in every division at least 3 fights and then ranking them for a tournament based on how they did sounds great in theory, but contract issues, injuries, commission bs, no way it goes as smoothly as they say it will.

I just want to watch some good fights on Thursday nights so really I could care less about the league set up. PFL signed some damn good featherweight talent and tomorrow will showcase this. The Heavyweight talent is so so.

I like the way the brackets turned out. Shields squeaking by with the 8th spot, just to have to fight Cooper II again is a death sentence for him

That WW division has some Monsters in it. Checkout this finish by Handesson Ferreira, who IMO can tangle in the UFC

Also I am liking this LHW division as well. Checkout this nice finish from Bozigit Ataev. This dude used to fight in Pride

I won't lie I am hyped for this Promotion. I also like the fact that we have Yves Edwards, Randy Couture & Bas Rutten as commentators for these scraps.

Yeah I agree totally. He is a talented dude, have just seen this fight and his recent LFA one but the dude is legit.

I agree with your comment about the announcers too. I love Yves, Randy and Bas. Bas is perfect in a 3 man team so he does not need to feel obligated to say random things to fill dead air. Yves and Randy do most of the talking and Bas chimes in in a very Bas way when he can
