Hi Acepitbull,
Great post and like to share some weight training tips with others.
Watch your diet and nutrition, use a decent set of scales with the ability to measure body fat and do cardio exercises. Drink and eat according to your exercise plan and switch the time of workout. Avoid over training and holding breath while lifting weights. Get plenty of rest, recover, relax and have enough sleep.

Funny, Mark Philippi thinks you should hold your breath, at least with the bench press, so your body doesnt get relaxed when exhaling. Around 4:10 in the video here.

I got that habit (breath holding) as well...always hold it for the first 6-8 reps while benching...I have heard that it can cause nasty spikes ib blood pressure............................................

I have to remind myself to exhale on the positive motion and inhale on the negative too.

breath holding is actually beneficial during some exercises because the internal pressure helps to stabilize you, but yeah it can cause blood pressure spikes and fainting and shit like that

One of the old mods got mad and deleted a ton of threads. If you do find that Bill Starr link or any other useful stuff, feel free to post it here so we can maybe restore the Strength & Conditioning forum back to its old glory. :D
