TheAssassins Striking Library

I have an entire youtube playlist dedicate to striking knowledge and various seminars that I watch. I'll be posting things here every time I find something new or interesting, and commentary when I try it in action.

I'll include anything from techniques, philosophy, stretches, motivational highlights, drills, etc etc. Anything that will help you with your striking game.

Updating anytime I find something new and useful.

First off with some BAS. This is great to do if your bored at home and wanna shadow box a little. And it's a good workout. For beginners, the combo numbers are different everywhere so I'll tell you what we do at my current gym.

1 = Jab
2 = Jab Cross
3 = Jab Cross Hook
4 = Jab Cross Hook Uppercut

GREAT video for basic head movement. Really helped my game.

Fedors shadow boxing. It's really interesting because his shots still seem to have power even when he's throwing air. Notice the full extension and closed fist. None of that finger tips stuff.

THIS is your end goal.

Thank you TheAssassin, awesome idea. Bookmarking this for easy reference. Kudo's for starting it off with Bas too, nothing keeps peoples attention like El Guapo. I've been working on his jab, straight, hook combo for a while not, also the jab straight low kick he teaches in one video.

So what you're really trying to tell us is that you're this guy:

Head movement IS in fact a technique.

When two retards are swinging at each other retardedly while being retards, the one retard who learns that a straight punch isn't as retarded and throws it non-retardedly, will be the champion in the ultimate proving ground for retards.

There's no "that's not fair he's using technique!" When one person doesn't use it, the other doesn't need to cut back lol.

By the way, Fedor is using small weights in his hands. :P

This is just the sort of thing I'm looking for.

In your opinion, will I (with very little striking experience) be able to teach my children some ok striking? I want to start them early, before they'll be able to train at a club. Nothing serious, just a head start.

Wicked idea.

I have been looking for something put together like this for stuff to do at home, in between my training sessions. I'm not getting any younger and I was stupid and took a few years off of MMA, right when things were starting to click. Now that I'm back at it, I need to make up some lost time, and having practice drills at home is just what the doctor ordered.

Thanks

Yes, the Boxing for MMA Silva DVD is great. Also, the Machida Karate series is really good for different leg stretches and evasive striking.
