preventing guillotine

What's the best way to prevent a guillotine when going for the take down? It always seems like fighters are very vulnerable to this.

when your shooting in for a take down don't put your head on the outside like a conventional double leg. go for a blast double with your head in the chest

Pass to the opposite side of the head, just roll a lot IMO. You'll have to learn to get out of it, because that is the submission that people spam lol.

PENTA POST!!!!

To prevent guillotine from double leg, couple options, the head in the middle works (also you can kind of headbutt them in the solar plexus :Holy: ) or if your head is outside, have your head on their hip bone area, chin tucked, outside shoulder raised.

If you do get caught, make sure to keep your hips raised, shoulder pressure right on their neck, and thats a good way to aleviate a lot of the strain from a guillotine and get out of it.

As far as from the shot, youll get the feel of a proper takedown, but if you keep your hear on their hip, chin turned into your opponent, thats a safe bet, if they try to sinch of hte guillotine, its not really gonna be there and theyll waste energy.

I'v found pushing your chin into your opponents ribcage works well , if you get caught in it , try to pass to side control then their little to no pressure being applied
