I guess it depends on how much you use it. Between my girfriend and I we get at least two blends a day so we're going full retard and getting a Vitamix. If it's just every now and then a magic bullet should be fine.

Braun multiquick 1 - It's not a blender to the fullest extent, but it will cut through and blend everything you put in. Plus, it's incredibly easy to wash.
