Not for MMA, but rolling in practice would probably be fun to try

I think it's possible in MMA. I tried it a few times but it was so sweaty I couldn't trap the arm. With a glove on it'd be impossible to get the arm out.

Wow very interesting! I usually trap the arm when they try to sweep me, but i never thought about doing armlock from there. Good post.

very cool. relson gracie showed us something very close to this a wile back at a seminar. for whatever reason i never think to do it, which i should, cause i always bait the sweep and trap the arm just like he did in the video.
