Kickboxing

Postby bins » Wed Jul 09, 2008 6:25 pm

I thought of this in another thread, most american fans are all about the standup fights and love exchanges and not really about the submissions or gnp

how would an org like k1 (havin a lot of the higher quality strikers from mma) do in america?

i find kickboxing much more entertaining than boxing still and i think itd go well,
jus give em smaller gloves for more knockouts!

not a bad idea, but the only thing is that usually smaller gloves doesn't make for more kos. its been the common understanding that bigger gloves are safer than smaller gloves, but in reality the bigger gloves will usually cause more force than the smaller gloves. in regards to K1, all it needs is better management and promotion and it will have no problem gaining popularity in the US.

Just put the ring in the UFC and there you go =)

Honestly...It would be a very risky money investment.Good idea thou but there are not many hardcore fans out there.

For fck sake,50% of MMA USA "weekend fans" think that Kimbo is awesome.Same goes for Europe.
OK,in Europe is 49%.Haha

if you cannot catch it, just check youtube or dailymotion after each grand prix. It's there for sure. The fights are amazing, action packed and you'll see a lot of KO's...Enjoy...
