Hook and loop gloves are good for when you have to repeatedly take your gloves on and off during training since lasce-ups are a hassle to put on. However that is the only advantage they have.

Lace-ups offer FAR better wrist support which is why all pro boxers/kickboxers use them. (plus they look cooler 8) )

Lace up also stay on better, velcro can come off. But in training with constantly taking them on and off velcro is easier, especially if it is just yourself and a bag.

i agree, if you need to take you gloves off and on again go with the hooks. i personally perfer the support lace up's give.
