BOXING VS MMA APRIL 19

Postby elpiojo14 » Fri Apr 18, 2008 3:06 pm

Hopkins/ Calzaque vs GSP/ Serra
Who will watch what??
Who will make more money in ppv sells?
If mma passes boxing then that is it, but if mma comes close then boxing is going down. If boxing is way ahead then it is still ok.
I think boxing will win but mma will come close just for the fact that boxing is based on country vs countryAND MORE ESTABLISH and mma has a sub coulture of gym vs gym AND IS JUST TOO NEW. Which does not have a great impact as boxing culture does.
WHAT DO YOU THINK????

Pain or damage don't end the world, or despair or Fu*kn!g beatings. The world ends when you're dead, until then you got more punishment instore. Stand it like a man, and give some back

I think boxing is on it's way out. I don't know too many people that will pay for a PPV event except a big name fight occasionally. Nothing is more exciting than MMA fights. Who wants to watch guys punching with big gloves for twelve rounds with a knock-out here and there.

I have to agree with you there.
&
Lets not forget all the boring 12 round fights you'll probably have to watch before the main event fight thats the only one you care to see anyways just to see another 12 rounder. I wont even watch a boxing match on PPV anymore let alone even pitch $5 in on it seeing highlights on ESPN or reading about it blow by blow in the paper is plenty fine for me now days.
