It looks like the headliner for the UFC’s biggest PPV of 2018 has been cancelled at the last minute as reports are in that Yoel Romero failed an out of competition drug test.

It practically sounds like joke. If nothing else, it’s certainly surreal. But, reports are in that the UFC middleweight fight crowning their massive UFC 225 PPV event has been cancelled following the news that Yoel Romero failed an out of competition drug test. MMA Fighting was on the scene and reported the news via Twitter:

Word is that an out-of-competition test, taken on June 6th is what’s resulted in the last minute fight change. It seems nearly impossible that the UFC could find a fighter to take on GSP on just 3 days notice, but with one of the biggest potential PPVs of the year at stake, there’s a chance the UFC could get someone looking for a chance at fortune.

Fighting also reported that Dana White was apparently selling wolf tickets when he got the news of the fight cancellation, so by all accounts it seems that the UFC was just as blindsided by this news as anyone else. Stay tuned to Bloody Elbow as we’ll be sure to keep you updated with more details as they become available.

In some states dont they class less than 186 as 185, so like 185.9 is good?

I bet Dana is FUMING about the commission not letting Romero have the allowed 2 hours. Apparently they stopped him after 1 hour when he was under the impression that he had 1 more to go. 0.2 pounds over, you've got to be fucking shitting me man. If this is really the commissions fault, I hope they never go back to that piece of shit city again.

Suck it Cavs LMAO got swept like some bitches.

It's ghey sure but Bromero was prolly within 0.2 inches of his life from the looks of him stumbling away afterwards.

For regular fights they can be within a pound, but title fights must be exact weight or lower

Why can't the fight still be a 5 rounder? I know it can't be a title fight but it's still a main event. Why not leave it at 5 rounds. Whit will just have to knock his fat ass out with that head kick.
I'm so fucking high.

I sure hope so. I thought someone said it's down to 3, so I hope you're right.

Let me get this straight Dana in his little media scrum vid says gsp needs to beat the #1 contender to get a fight with khabib. Then bitches about gsp not defending the mw belt. Yet he rides Connors dick who didnt earn his 155 title shot and hasnt defended a title ever.

The shit that comes out of his dumbass mouth

In a strange turn of events Dana just announced CM Punk will get the next title shot against Woodley in a ladder match. It will be held in Chicago and Dennis Rodman will be the guest referee.
