Penn's next opponent shoudl be a against Clay Guida. That is just too much fun to watch fight.

LW division = cleaned out.

though I can imagine some tough competition to decide the 2nd best LW.

This/thread.

Honestly if anyone thinks that frankie edgar has a chance you are crazy. Edgar is even smaller than BJ is and BJ could make 145 no prob. As if he does not have enough to work with if you give him someone smaller than himself........death in the octagon.

GSP took BJ down at will. Maynard is probably very comparable to GSPs wrestling skills, so i assume he will be able to take him down as well.

I just don't see, Gray doesn't have the same strength or skill as GSP. Good takedowns alone are not enough to get BJ to the mat, you have to be able to mix it up with effective striking. I see a Maynard v. Penn bout going much the same as Penn v. Sanchez.

Wow, I just don't think anyone is a real challenge right now. If I had to choose I'd go either Maynard or Edgar.

After BJ Penn jolly stomps his next two title challengers I'd like him to make a serious move up to WW. He would need to add a solid 10-15 pounds of pure muscle to do it right, but it would be a necessary change the way things are going right now in LW.

That's of course unless the UFC could get some new blood like Aoki or Alvarez (they would likely get tooled too however).

The person who said frankie edgar is to small is a fuckin idiot. So he has a loss to Gray, so what. Hes beaten Tyson Griffin Hermes Franca Spencer Fisher and Sean Sherk. I think wins over those people intitles any one to a title shot. It dosent really matter who fights BJ cause they wont win. Now if Marius Zaromskis can make 155, theres the most likely person to beat B.J he didnt look that big at 168 so who knows.

Well considering Tyson lost to Edgar and has only beaten Dos Anjos and Franca who has been in the dumps lately since his last loss, I don't think he deserves the shot yet.

I say if Maynard beats Diaz, he deserves it, and if he loses to Diaz, then Edgar deserves it.

fuck LW until there is a clear contender... he wants WW give him Kos or Alves since UFC isn't fuckin letting him fight elsewhere they will soon run out of opponents for him... and their other champions as well... TOO MANY EVENTS too many title fights let your champs fuck around a bit... i promise to still watch the UFC and BJ Penn if he loses to Alvarez for example. I PROMISE!
