NEXT 155-Pound CHALLENGER?

Postby hilton8 » Mon Dec 14, 2009 6:50 pm

I want to see TYSON GRIFFIN, "Mr. Fight of the Night", fight Penn.

I think he is a better match-up against Penn, over Maynard and Edgar.

WHO IS YOUR #1 PICK?

Gray Maynard seems to be the #1 contender, but as far as anyone who might give BJ a fight? There is no one.

LW division = cleaned out.

though I can imagine some tough competition to decide the 2nd best LW.

right now the only reasonable opponent is gray maynard. he hasn't been defeated yet but i don't think he's ready for penn. next to maynard is frankie edgar, who's only loss is to maynard.
HW- Noguiera
LHW- Lyoto Machida
MW- A. Silva
WW- GSP
LW- Genki Sudo
FW- "Kid" Yamamoto

Im with you there. I see Gray as the one and only guy that has a chance to beat BJ. I think he has the skill to take BJ down, and hes a better wrestler than BJ when they do end up on the ground.

1. Maynard
2. Edgar
3. Griffin

Maynard already defeated Edgar and Edgar defeated Griffin in his UFC debut. 'Nuff said.

But I do think that Griffin would probably have the more exciting fight. The way he WTFBBQOWNED Hermes Franca was beautiful. I mean he went REALLY berserk on his ass!

GSP took BJ down at will. Maynard is probably very comparable to GSPs wrestling skills, so i assume he will be able to take him down as well.

in my opinion it should go down liek this.

if gray beats diaz gray should get the title.

then edgar should get the title.

then there should be a little tournament between florian, diego, stevenson, sherk, and pellegrino

sigbet record: 5-1

always love jon fitch, nick diaz, kurt pellegrino, and frankie edgar

edgar tyson and grey are really the only ones that deserve a shot. But i dont think any of them would stand a chance. And thats coming from a frankie fan (dont really care for grey and tyson)

NO way he can take bj down.. ahah gsp had a hard time, and thats with size advantage, no way gray and take bj down.

Thats a bold statement. How are you going to feel when they fight and Gray actually does it? I would avoid using terms like "no way". It can save you alot of embarrassment.
