Apparently Mayweather is looking to get into mma, but personally I would rather have him drop to Super Featherweight at 130lbs to fight Manny Pacquiao. If he’s getting bored with boxing due to the effortless victories because of his running tactics, Pacman is the man for him. Honestly I just want to see the number 1&2 P4P boxers decided who the best is.

I think this is a stupid idea, and Mayweather’s midlife crisis will result in a submission or a TKO.

The article is from December, and we still have no mma news from him, so I guess "most people" were right.

if a MMA org. offers him a twenty million dollar contract I bet he'll make the switch ! If every mma fan chips in 1 buck it might cover the contract amount!!

For these exact reasons I'd love to see May Weather in MMA so some1 could shut his big mouth up in no time flat about how he claimed boxers were better then MMA fighters.

Also the other reason I think it'd be good cuz he might help in fighter getting paid better purses for fights if he did come to MMA since he'd demand close to what he earned as a boxer that brought PPV event sell & in turn other MMA fighters that bring in just the same PPV sells if not more could demand better pay as well.

Rumor was he was gonna train for MMA in between his next few fights as a boxer & by the time he was done with that he'd be ready to fight in MMA with enough trainning under his belt.

Yeah as stated above....Floyd ain't goin nowhere.He's already scheduled to have a rematch with DLH this year.He's staying put.As well he should stay put.

That will be a good fight, if Dela Hoya shows up. Paquiao fight would be good too.

He'd be badass in MMA, his hands are just too fast and strong for any of our top tier guys. If he learns to sprawl, I'm sorry folks, but he'll be the champ no doubt in my mind. However, MMA just doesn't have the money to pay a fighter like Mayweather, not even that idiot Cuban.

His hands are damn fast, but he would probably get hit with a few (lot of) leg kicks. Plus, if Hughes could not keep GSP from taking him down, Mayweather has no chance.

send over any cross over athelete for all i care just start them out where they belong, not on the maincard for there first fight.thats all i realy care about dont give them special tretment cause of the name they made somewhere else real mma fighters get passed over so these guys can just jump in when they want cause the style of fighting is hot right now,either way they will be served up its just the way it is just cause you box dont mean you brawl.

the main card is going to consist of the guy who puts the asses in the seats and sells ppv's and there's no doubt about it. it is a business at the end of the day.
