Fighter inactivity

A place for Linker's rankings team to argue before releasing the official monthly rankings.

Fighter inactivity

Postby hawdrigoh » Wed Dec 23, 2015 11:52 pm

Ok my body is almost ready to post some rankings. One question I came across though is how long a fighter should be inactive for to be ineligible for rankings?

Is 1 year reasonable?

I have the same question. But to be honest, there is only 1 fighter in the rankings I came up with that would be affected by this.

Any guesses as to who it is?

I say 1 year. That seems to be the industry standard...if there is such a thing lol.

Needing a consensus on this: If a fighter has not fought in over a year, but has a fight scheduled, should they be eligible for rankings?

My vote would be no, because there is no guarantee they will be making the fight until it actually happens.

But, what does everyone else think?

I think that sounds fair. I'm gonna have to have someone else let me know who crosses that line.
