Cauliflower ear

Postby tking52 » Fri Mar 05, 2010 4:38 pm

Guys,

Have any suggestions for effectively draining early stages of cauliflower ear. I've been training very hard for about 2 months (6 days a week 2X day after going 3 times a week previously) and have developed a nasty bloody puss fielld left ear. I've drained it 3 times with a small IV needle and a larger 20 gauge syringe needle. Each time it has filled back up overnight. the last time it has filled back up about halfway, but will obviously puff up some more after practice and sparring tommorow. My question is is there a more effective way to drain the ear? should i ust cut a bigger hole and stuff it with gauze so it continues to drain?

drain it and then use a compression bandage to hold the ear skin to the ear cartilage. if it hasnt been too long it should reattach itself it constant pressure is held on it

After you drain it keep it iced for a while and it should help destroy the ugly bastard.

Do you ice over the bandage or ice pre bandage?
