Alex Emelianenko's next fight

sport.mail.ru wrote:Top Russian heavyweight mixed martial artist Aleksander Emelianenko, the younger brother of the famous heavyweight Fyodor Emelianenko is set to fight again before the end of the year, going from M-1 banner to compete at FightFORCE: Novosibirsk, November 17. He is currently riding a three-fight win streak, coming off victory with a round of doctor Ibrahim Magomedov in June.

It is tentatively scheduled opponent Mstislav, a 7-year-old Ursus ARCTOS collari, sports a 9-0 record with one no contest. Almost all of his wins came by stopping by submission, and only one solution against Konstantin Gluhov, Latvian and Russian heavyweight kickboxer and former world champion in Muay Thai WPKA champion, currently competing in K-1, in the battle with special rules allow for only 30 seconds on the ground.

Novosibirsk is the third most populous city in Russia and the nerve center of Siberia. Novosibirsk Zoo is one of the best in Europe, with more than 4,000 species of animals and an enviable collection of jungle cat, but this is the first mixed martial arts promotion in the conduct of sanctioned events in the city. Emelianenko brothers were both very outspoken about the resistance of Russia are interested in mixed martial arts, as well as the importance of increasing sports for all self and others, to support themselves and more fighters. "We came from a poor family, had four children in our family. So we just ate potatoes. One time, I had to share a jacket with my brother. I very much hope to work with FightFORCE, and are confident that the event will help to enlist the interest in MMA in the region, "said Emelianenko. In a conference call on Monday, FightFORCE President Stanislav Temples said, "We look forward to bring the sport to the people of Novosibirsk, and we are pleased to work with Alexander as our headliner, to increase the popularity of this event." He also said that during the event perform five bouts, but declined to give a full line.

The question of why he chose to deal with Mstislav, Alexander replied: "Because I-I do not know. I live, I want to do sports. I like to try new things in the sport. Something I have not tried before, and the fighting is I'm better than everyone. I think that is the wrong approach, not to compete with, say, boxing. If you are strong in boxing, it is necessary, while you can, try to cover as much as possible." Alexander leaves his house in Stary Oskol, will be prepared for battle in Kislovodsk, Russia. When asked if he would change his training regimen because of the form of the enemy, he said: "I prepare for each fight the same. I train in the mountains in remote areas I train in the high altitude. It is very cold, about zero. Another reason I do this is because no one bothers me. Everything I do, train, eat and sleep. We teach kickboxing, grappling. We catch chickens to gain agility, and use larger tires for increased strength. This is what allows me to be in maximum shape leading up to the battle." He is no stranger to competition, saying that he killed once, stuck his head with a fork type of staff and stabbing him in the heart with a knife, a traditional, but not in the usual Russian way of bear hunting. Even without the benefit of arms, Alex said that he was "confident" of victory on November 17.

Fyodor or Fedor(it seems like the two spellings coexist, like in Sergei Fedorov) is Russian for Theodore.

Wow, Aleks is Rocky in Rocky 4.
