MFC 32: Bitter Rivals
MFC 32: Bitter Rivals is a mixed martial arts event to be held by the Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) on January 27, 2012 at the Mayfield Trade Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The main card will aire live on HDNet and featured a Lightweight Championship Bout.
On January 2, 2012, MFC officials announced that two new foes have been selected to fill injury-related slots, as Kyle Jackson replaced Ryan Chiappe (who had previously replaced Cody Krahn) in a welterweight showdown with Jamie Toney, while Dominique Robinson replaces Adam Lynn and will clash with Mukai Maromo in a lightweight encounter. Maromo was eventually taken off of the card after suffering his own injury.
An injury to Bruno Carvalho forced him off the card, and he was replaced by four-time Strikeforce veteran Nathan Coy.
Lightweight Champion Antonio McKee weighed in seven pounds overweight for his Lightweight Championship Bout against Brian Cobb, making the bout a non-title three round affair. McKee was also stripped of the title and released from his contract.
