[edit] Mixed Martial Arts Career
Jesse made his debut in 2005 defeating Pat Kane.
[edit] International Fight League
Jesse made his debut for the International Fight League (IFL) losing to Emyr Bussade via Kneebar. Jesse was sidelined six months after the loss because of an injury that occurred during the fight.
[edit] World Extreme Cagefighting
Jesse was signed to World Extreme Cagefighgint (WEC) in early 2009 and made his debut not much later defeating Blas Avena. The WEC then disbanded their welterweight division leaving Jesse without a job, but he was later transfered over to the UFC's talent roster, as both promotions are owned by Zuffa.
[edit] Ultimate Fighting Championship
After getting transfered to the UFC's talent roster, Jesse made his debut for the promotion at UFC 101: Declaration against Danillo Villefort. He won by TKO from a cut, although controversial as it was from an accidental headbutt.
Lennox was next defeated by Rick Story via Decision (Split) at UFC Fight Night 20.
Lennox was next scheduled to return to action at UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin on June 12, 2010 against former WEC Welterweight Champion Mike Pyle. The bout started off the event, and Pyle controlled much of the action, as Lennox seemed to gas by the third round. Though Lennox seemed to have a chance to get the come-from-behind win in the third, firing off a Superman Punch that was followed by a hook, that dropped Pyle to his back, Pyle used the position to his advantage, as he quickly locked in a Triangle Choke and began firing elbows at his opponent's head. After a few tense seconds, Lennox failed to battle back. With referee Kevin Dornan looking on, Pyle alerted the official that Lennox has fallen unconscious with 16 seconds left in the fight. The official stoppage came moments later, and Lennox was handed his second consecutive loss.
