James Edson "Little Tiger" Berto is a Haitian mixed martial artist and the former Real Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion who has fought for EliteXC and Strikeforce promotions and is known for his incredible Leg Lock variations. All but one of his submission wins are by way of Heel Hook.
Berto comes from a family of athletes and is not the only member of his family to appear on major fight cards on cable and pay-per-view. His brother Andre Berto is an undefeated profressional boxer who is considered one of the top prospects in the welterweight division and his sister Revelina Berto is an undefeated female mixed martial arts contender for Real Fighting Championship.
Edson is trained by his father, Dieseul Berto, who appeared in UFC 10: The Tournament and competed in mixed martial arts in Japan.
