Gabriel Gonzaga is currently fighting for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fight promotion in the Heavyweight division.
He started figting in 1994. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Wander Braga, is a former member of the famous Chute Boxe Academy, and now fights out of Ludlow, Massachusetts as a part of Team Link.
His most well-known fight to date was his first round knockout of Mirko Filipovic, who is best known as "Cro Cop."
He won the Mundials (2004), which is considered to be the top Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition in the world. His hero is Rickson Gracie.

Personal Life
Gabriel and his wife have two children, a daughter and a son. They were expecting twin girls, but their daughter Leticia passed away at birth. Before his fighting career, he was a bouncer / bodyguard.
